Still chasing that elusive John Lee Hooker boogie vibe.

  • @MrItsabeautifulday I assume you mean the guitar - keep looking on eBay, or invent a time-travel machine and go back to the sixties. Oh, and what you see there is a one off modification to a Teisco Del Rey SS-4L, so yah ain't gonna find one like that.....

  • Where's the best place to get these? eBay? Or do they still have a dealer, or anything?

  • @lilrascalrc The Teisco lives in open E tuning..... it's a blues thing.

  • Did you tune to standard or open tuning:? What open tuning did you use, if you did, open A as JLH often used??

    Thanks

  • Aw shucks, thank you kindly, you honour me (that's how we Blightyites spell stuff, colour, honour, valves not tubes - we're weird.....)

  • Great tone , great player, great guitar!
