Shot in full HD, this visually stunning doc takes you deep into the natural and captivating world of the Maasai. There we unravel one of the last ancient tribal rituals of the Maasai Warrior. The narrative follows the Warriors as they prepare to undergo a unique rite of passage that will initiate them into Elderhood. Granted unprecedented access to the three day ceremony, which occurs once every eight years, the filmmaker gained a rare insight into the world of the Maasai.

  • I hate reading the comments i usually find from westerners on Africa & African culture. Every culture does not, nor should not want to live as they do in the west, yet westerners medal and insist otherwise. Globalizing culture is does nothing for these people who would never be accepted by you anyways, leave them as they are, stop filling there countries with weaponry and western ideals.

  • BEAUTIFUL PEOPLE

  • @2300SKIDOO greetings from denmark. if you are so unhappy wirth the westerners, think about how many milions of dollars we send to your fucking uneducated children so they don't starve to death. be a little greatfull..

  • what is western culture? Sex, drugs, burgers, and more sex?

  • @2300SKIDOO I agree. I think we should bring back these rites of passage. It seems men have lost their passion as being,"men," these days.

  • They look like ancient egyptians.

  • Absolutely beautiful communal living where the talents and skills are shared and sustain every life of the community! Children are held in the highest regard! That is humanity and human development at its highest level! A pure personification of civilization which is often confused with technical advancement.

  • I'm a white westerner and I've always had admiration and respect for the Maasai and the Samburu, and I've had the pleasure of meeting and conversing with them as well.

They are a proud and strong people, and I thank them for their hospitality.

  • I love this. Thank U. I am blessed to be born in Kenya!

  • Often, one can only wish to ba as civilized! We often caculate civilization with technology, and that is to our loss.
