Hang drum is really only refered to more for ease of finding and has in NO-WAY any relation to its original name of Hang or hanghang or any association with drums or drumming (to some extent).

Unfortunately you cant, you can only get them from a small workshop in Switzerland

False. Pantheon Steel in Missouri makes these, or their variation of this. There is a waiting list but the fact that another shop produces a magical instrument such as this is nothing but good news. Hopefully more businesses such as PANArt and Pantheon Steel invent their own version of the hang drum so more people can get their hands on such an amazing instrument.

I think the good individual was refering to the Hang in question, and there are no sales of the hang or pantheon for that matter on sale in NZ! therefore my reply was quite true and accurate, Yes there are now a few variations, many of which i have tried, However i personally think the hang hang is in its own element of sound. The others are good but to me dont quite capture the sound characteristics of the Hang.

hmmm hard one! these are all hand made and take many hours to make! companies have tried by machine without success, experienced metal tuners have tried, no success, it takes a special individual to make one of these instruments and many, many hours! :) Hence the reason you see so few for sale.
