I disagree.

Marquez doesn't have great balance but he's shown time and time again that he can take a punch. Not many boxers to my mind can get knocked down 3 times against Manny and still take the fight to a (controversial) draw. His chin is tough.

Floyd's chin is suspect after the Mosely fight. After the second round Floyd defended well and didn't get hit on the chin. Marquez has been knocked down against Manny (4 times) and still fought well. I thought Manny won and the stats agrees with me.

Margarito came 15 pounds heavier than Manny and he got dominated. Cotto got beat convincingly, no amount of weight could have changed that. Style wise Manny was better than Cotto.

@StrongDeviant I'm a big time Marquez fan, but Marquez doesn't have one of the best chins in boxing. He has been wobbled and dropped several times in his career. He has great heart and always comes back strong but his chin isn't that great.

@StrongDeviant lol ok if u wanna call clottey a defensive fighter thats on you...but that fight was fixed...floyd is bigger, faster, quicker, more powerful than marquez...floyd also has a great chin, and you cant even question that....did you watch the last manny marquez fight? be honest and tell me who you think won? manny can only beat ppl who stand there, CLOTTEY or that he makes cut a shit load of weight...cotto is a 154 pounder but he made him fight at 145, fuck is dat?

I don't think you watch boxing... Clottey is a defensive fighter. You must be confusing Clottey with someone else. It's not a bad thing to counter and slip punches, however if you fight someone who is active in the ring like Manny you could give the rounds away by playing it "safe" like Clottey.

Floyd is not a bigger version of Marquez, they have different styles. Also Marquez has one of the best chins in boxing.

FYI mayweather already knows who he is fighting in May 5th if he is serious about fighting! And he knows it won't be THE FIGHTER he fears the most!
