This why I can't stand Republicans, they know and care little for the grass roots.

Guiliani's kids even hate him. What a political thug/gangster. He is also a NO-GOOD thief. Anyone that doesn't believe me hasn't done their homework. Worst of the worst of the worst....besides governor Christie...who is another soprano-like thug.

That "community organizer" kicked republican's ass, Rudy Giuliani is a cross dresser

You misunderstand me. The work you are describing is noble Christian work.
"Community Organizer" as a profession in modern urban American cities otoh is largely based on extorting goodies from city councils for the benefit of discret ethnic groups. Once again I would reccommend Wolfe's book Radical Chic. And I am American Irish and German Catholic as well

I respectfully disagree GaryCheevers. I have known scores of people who work full-time assisting the people of communities. Some of them have been clergy and some have been non-clergy. Some of the most caring, noble people in this world are social workers and community organizers. They work in the "trenches" among the poor and suffering. This is what Jesus did and calls us to do. That is part of my Irish Catholic heritage that no political pundit will ever diminish.

That's commendable, but that's not community organizing. Community organizing is ethnic wrangling of funds from the city or government. Read Wolfe's Mau-Mauing the Flakcatchers. Helping out the poor and needy with your time is noble Christian labor and alms. Other than clerics, however, not many can pay their rent doing that. Its a part-time charitable activity, not a profession.

I will never understand how consistently GOP leaders resort to mockery. The mockery often extends to issues that most people would consider noble. In my family, working at soup kitchens, attending to the homeless, visiting the elderly (some of the works of a community organizer) are encouraged. And they are encouraged in no small part because they are taught in the Gospels. Does the GOP not value serving the poor, the weak, the outcast? Does pro-life include works of mercy?
