@shock503 Don't feel bad for that, really, Love yourself more than anybody else, that's basic and important in life in my opinion -_-. Think what happened in a positive way and really hope that your next relationship, if you let your heart open again, is better than this one :). Que triste! Though I can see the meaning. Love results in both great pleasure and great pain (certainly I've had my fair share of both), and in the case of this song he's reminding us of the pain. It is always a good idea not to loose yourself in blind love of anyone, or anything for that matter, though I would still argue "it is better to have loved and lost." You just have to be prepared for the pain. Like Escorpio123 said, you have to take love seriously.

Even though this is a sad song i think it helps by influencing by you can’t just listen to your heart all the time you have to balance it out with reality. This song wasn’t talking about love in general but a specific kind of love. :)
