23 But when they persecute you in this city, flee ye into another: for verily I say unto you, Ye shall "not have gone over the cities of Israel," till the Son of man be come.
Jesus said he would return;:
* Within Caiaphas' life time, and that he, Caiaphas would witness JC's return..
* Before his disciples died.
* Before his disciples could preach the gospel to every city in Israel.
* Within his (their) generation. (Did a generation = 40 years?)
23 But when they persecute you in this city, flee ye into another: for verily I say unto you, Ye shall "not have gone over the cities of Israel," till the Son of man be come.
No, Herod called the chief priests and scribes and demanded of them were Christ would be born. Matt 2:3-4. Brother study to show yourself approved, not guest.
Beloved fellow servants stop guessing what the Bible says and hear the Anointing (Holy Spirit) who teaches you (us) all things. If you cannot hear Him, then seek someone truly taught and sent of God to feed you, edify you by the Anointing. This is not a guest walk but a knowledge (knowing) walk.
Always remember the gospels harmonize the whole picture. Where one gospel gives details of one aspect, another will skip but give other details. Now a treat for you. Herod got ill and crazy close to the time of his death. He tried to kill other people. He died Shebat 2, 1 AD. Jesus was born Sept 15, 2BC (i.e. circumcized on 8th day of Festival of Booths). So they may have been in Egypt only a few weeks or a month before Herod died.Also, the Magi were Jewish Babylonian astronomers likely. :>
Here's what happened based on my review. Jesus was born in Bethlehem and they remained there until after Jesus was one year old. That's why Jesus was in a house. The animal booth was just when he was born. He Magi went to Bethlehem and found him there. They fled to Egypt and then did not return going to Nazareth for the first time, the context of Matthew. There is NO CONTRADICTION because all accounts say after they left Bethlehem they moved to Nazareth. Matt just fills in details.
Your commentaries are a blessing, Ryan, I know God is pleased.
ZERO CONTRADICTIONS HERE. You did not have to change on this. Luke goes into Jesus' later life and talks about how he grew up, so the context is a general reference to where Jesus went after being born in Bethlehem, meaning he went to Nazareth. It doesn't say immediately after. So we an insert all the details from the other gospels....
The very fact that we have to "figure" this out is problematic. What sort of god are the Christians worshipping? Would Christians go through these hoops to defend Islam or pagan religions? No. Why? Because each group always thinks they are right. Religion will destroy us. Please stop it.
Example;1 Chron.25;3 The sons of...................................5 sons;s name is listed, but the bible say 6 sons, basic math is apparently to much handle with the word of God. Thank you Yvan

Not a contradiction but some of my favorite verses from JC;
Mark 9
1 And he said to them, I tell you the truth, "some who are standing here" will not taste death before they see the kingdom of God come with power.
Matthew 10:23
23 But when they persecute you in this city, flee ye into another: for verily I say unto you, Ye shall "not have gone over the cities of Israel," till the Son of man be come.
Matthew 24:34
34 Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these....

"If there are changes in the text..."
Of course there are changes in the text.
Just look up the word "Easter" in your KJV.
The original says "passover", plain as day.
But the REAL problem is not the changes
but the plain and simple contradictions
that were built in from..
well, from the first page!
The account of Creation in Genesis chapter 1
is NOT the account of Creation in Genesis chapter 2.

Ever noticed that the genealogies in Luke and Matthew are COMPLETELY different?
Hmm, that's a bit odd......I wonder why that is.......
