In light of the recent earthquake I decided to record a song that me and my missionary friends learned while in Japan last year. The song is called その日全世界が and it was written by Takafumi Nagasawa. This version is in English and Japanese, and was translated by our friends in Tsugaru
Normally praise songs are written in English in North America and are taken over and translated for Japan, but this song was written in Japanese and has been imported to North America.
Hope you enjoy the song. Let it be a song of hope for Japan.

Lyrics:

We pray, oh Lord our God
Show us Your mighty plan
For a world that You hold in Your hands
From Heaven Your light shines
Your glory fills the earth
and Your people will be covered by Your love.

On that day, every nation, every tongue
Lifts high your name
Strong and mighty to be praised
Shout to the Lord
King of Kings, Jesus
Hallelujah
Praise and Glory forever be Yours!

Salvation will be known
by every tribe and tongue
They will sing a joyful song in your name
Your justice will bring peace
To this lost and broken world
And Your Spirit will surround us all

On that day, every nation, every tongue
Lifts high your name
Strong and mighty to be praised
Shout to the Lord
King of Kings, Jesus
Hallelujah
Praise and Glory forever be Yours!

その日全世界が
主の御名高く掲げる
叫べ王の王イェスに
ハレルヤ
栄光とわにあれ

  • I've been there! 3:48! I took a photo at that Pikachu as well!

  • @WasAbiRASP epic win

  • Thank you. As a missionary currently in Japan, the past few days have been incredibly difficult. We were close to the epicenter but received no lasting damage and we didn't lose anybody. However, seeing the disaster around us, feeling the aftershocks, and watching the situation growing more grim for Japan has been heartbreaking. Thank you for this encouraging video. It helps.

  • @thevintagerose I'm glad you were blessed by it. I am continuing to pray for Japan and for all the missionaries stationed there. I know a handful of people through OMF, so I have been hearing news as it has been coming since Friday. Continue to be brave! I know the situation is rough, but God's hand is still at work and Jesus is still your great Saviour!

  • thank you so much!im japanese but now im living in abroad.all i can do is praying for all in japan.

fortunately my family and all my friends are safe so far.but many people are still deeply shocked and terrified.

Thank you for the great song.

    And please keep praying!

  • @watashihayouko God bless you! I am for sure going to continue to pray for Japan. Thank you for watching, I hope it was a blessing. So far my family and friends are doing ok too, so praise be to God!

  • Nice, I've never seen a translated version of this song! This was probably my favorite Japanese worship song I learned while serving on missions in Japan last summer, so I'm thankful to have found this! :) Great arrangement as well. May you continue to be an encouragement to the all who desire to reach the Japanese for Christ!

  • Hey max, this is awesome! I was at Frenda for teen camp 1 this past year (2011) and I really miss singing this song. If you get around to it, could you please send me the chords for guitar? Whenever you can get around to it would be great! Thanks!

  • @MetalCrusade777 Indeed. I got the opportunity to spend a month in Japan last summer. We spent two weeks in Kesennuma doing tsunami relief with Samaritans purse. The week before and after that we were at a church in Yokohama. The youth group there sang this song all the time! I'm currently learning the Japanese lyrics. I have the chorus down but the verses are difficult.

Would I be able to use these lyrics and possibly even perform this song with a praise band at my university?

  • yo max that was awesome btw i forgot to ask u do u come from japan and btw this is Busi from Camp Frenda

  • Thanks so much for this! Awesome job with the translation and arrangement, we're going to try it at my church this Sunday!!! God Bless.

  • It's a wonderful song. I really like it. however, the last word "God bless Japan" is translated wrong. It supposed to be 神の恵みが日本に(ありますように)Otherwise it is fine. God bless Japan is for me a little awkward perhaps too strong. I would use May God bless Japan. You are not demanding God for His blessing are YOU?

  • I Love this I really do. *crying*

  • Dear @socksumi, I have sent a message to you explaining all these once again. Please check your inbox. though its a bit long, but please read it. :))

    God bless. x
