I picked it up at scheer rd about 3 miles south of manhattan monee rd and it went northeast from there

I can not believe you took your innocent child in this environment. He is a child and looks to learn right and wrong from someone like your self. Instead you act like a child your self and put both of your lives at danger. I have been in the emergency services my whole life and deal with horrible situations caused by ignorant people as your self. You should be ashamed.

He was so close, his car hit downed wires! What if they had been live? Was this guy a trained storm chaser? It sure doesn't seem like it! I still contend he put his kid in harms way! They could have watched in one spot further away. That tornado originally went over us in Morris, Ill. about 3pm that day. We didn't get hit but it went south of us and hit Wilmington, Monee, Odell, Manhatten, Franklin Park, Frankfort and several other towns as it veered course and went ne all the way to Indiana!

Whatever! This kid had the time of his life and will never, ever forget this experience. His dad was not putting him in harms way and had their safety in mind the entire time. I get so tired of people trying to parent other people's children. We live in a PC world and I am so tired of it. These are probably the same people that think that every kid deserves a trophy just for participating. Guess what, there are winners and losers in life and children need to learn that. This dad is a winner!

Incredible footage but I think you put yourself and your son in harms way and were way to close to it and you two could have ended up dead, like the people in Joplin, Mo. You even hit a power line and were dodging debris! That's too close!
