  • Do you have to add any oil or water to the actual DC3/4 before you sharpen the blade or can you just put the blade to the stone without anything else needed?

  • @thatguywiththeegg

Hi Yes you add add oil, it works better, but you can use it without. When I take it out in the bush I use it dry and its fine.

  • could i sharpen my axe with this?

  • @meandkg

Hi, yes definitely, it would work, i've used mine to sharpen my wildlife wetterlings axe. the axe stones are a little easier to work with though.

  • woud this work good for a D2 RAT7 ?

  • @shamanspirit1984

Hi, Yes i used the DC4 for all my RAT knives and it was great. Very portable too, so just slips in your pack.

  • @workwearcanadacom Thanks.

  • Fell--k-neev-en, not fall-nivven. Keep it up otherwise!

  • I recently bought a sharpening stone with one side course and one side fine. I am practicing on all of my dull kitchen knives and so far I seem to be doing ok. I get them sharp enough to cut through oranges and and onions and stuff with no problem but I can't seem to get them sharp enough to do that paper cutting test where it slices through with no problem. Also although they are pretty sharp they seem to have little nicks in the blade after sharpening. anyone have any tips on how to sharpen?

  • @meandkg I just tried and with a few strokes it put a crazy edge on my axe. I don't know whether my technique with the stone is all wrong or not but this worked far better for me.

  • try to say fällkniven and not fallkniven. that's how we sweds say it ^^

    nice review bro

  • Great vid I was researching portable sharpeners and someone suggested these
