Who can name the tune that Michelle brought to the singalong before the Wisconsin Day of Action? (But forgive the distracted cameraman's off key and fumbled lyrics.) Ah, songwriter John Clark writes and tells us it's his wonderful tune "Hope in Hard Times"! See www.reverbnation.com/johnclarkthebakeract Anyway, so Michelle just dropped in with her polychrome guitar case lookin like she'd just jumped off a box car. A few hours later, she led 10,000 people in song at the main rally with Rev. Jesse Jackson, in commemoration of the assassination of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and his fight for the collective bargaining rights of Memphis sanitation workers.

  • It's a great tune--sounds like something that's been around already for a lot of protests. And Michelle sings it with heart.

  • The name of the song is "Hope In Hard Times", by John Clark. I know this because I am John Clark. Thanks for posting!
