Okay, this is pretty much a test run.
I've never done a Let's Play before, but I felt like giving it a shot and see what I come up with.
What I chose was the NES game Armadillo (or Arumajiro in Japanese).
Well, the first world of it, at least.
I've done absolutely nothing as far as preparation's concerned, and if I do decide to make a full Let's Play for this, I'm probably going to do this over from the start.
I noticed I'm not very audible over the game's sound at some points, I'll keep an eye on that for future attempts. Apart from that, let me know whether you think I should continue, pick some other game, or just step off altogether.

Thanks to Kitsune Sniper of Vice Translations for the translation of this game. You rock.

  • Didn't know there was a fan translation.

  • It took ages to make, had been waiting for quite a while for it myself. But it's really good.

  • This I'm going to say may sound like sarcasm but it is not

Mate, dont worry if we dont hear you cause the background music.

All we know Armadillo, know that his music is the most brilliant on NES

So what would actually prefer to hear the background music and not you

Maybe in the future could pause the game when you want to talk or put texts

Excuse me if it sounds like an insult for you

  • That's okay. It's only my first one anyway, and if I'm ever continuing this, I wasn't exactly planning to keep giving live commentary over the course of the entire game, just maybe explain stuff in the first part or two, and then just playing on with occasional banter as I come across stuff over the rest of the game. Like most "Let's Play" vids I've seen, anyway.

  • @Tripano But yeah, um... commentary is basically what makes the difference between a "Let's Play" and a plain video walkthrough.

  • Where can I get the english version?

  • If you have the original game, you can get the translation patch at foxhack . net

  • bugger!

I remember playing a mario hack of this game back in the day and thinking it was pretty damn awesome. Only today did I find out the name of the real game.

  • Thanks.
