@firechicken76 this was my point the guy was saying it wasnt a fair race cause the mustang was supercharged and i was saying not to forget the mustang has a smaller motor so it is kinda evened out

Even back in the day the Challenger was always a heavy weight. It's a big, powerful touring car that was never meant to be a track machine. The fact that the modern car CAN be tracked well however, is simply icing atop the cake. No need for it to be the fastest.

the challenger even with all this power in the 392, needs to go on a serious diet

4200+ pounds is just to heavy, even with that big block to be a serious contender with a midly moded mustang 5.0. dropp 400-500 pounds and that challenger would be a beast. But that wont happen, with all the safety crap in cars today
