  • @Johnnyandmelissa I read that the other day but I find it very hard to believe. If you remember they had to cut Johnny B. from Aloha for the 1st DVD release a few years back, then it was added in for the 2disc set released by EPE. I'm not saying the Warner story isn't true but something doesn't add up.

Either way they still did a piss poor job replacing the song. It's one thing to use Don't Be Cruel but to repeat the same verse twice doesn't make sense. They could have used All Shook Up in full

  • @bonjon83 ElvisMatters contacted Tom Lucas, VP Marketing manager of Warner USA, and asked for an explanation. The moment Warner decided to release a restored version for ‘Elvis On Tour’, they contacted all the composers and publishers for the songs that are included in the movie. In case of ‘Johny B Goode’, they never received any reaction from composer Chuck Burry or his publisher. Warner tried to contact them for a very long time, but never received any reply or contract.

  • Sadly this doesn't fit the way it should! They could have done a better job of picking a song that fit better. Or they should have just paid up the money for Johnny B. Goode!
