I've been following large cats for a long time and I can tell you size is not the determining factor in nature, it fuzziness and karate skills. Yeah I am like 96.4% sure. Because I've been following large cats since I was a kid, foregoing any kind of social life and putting having a family on hold.....yeah cougar are pretty much my third favorite animal.

Wrong and wrong and wrong. I've been following large cats since I was a kid and it bothers me that people dare to flaunt their ignorance about a number of subjects with the utmost self-assurance and authority. Perhaps the foul language was uncalled for and I do apologize for that behavior, but you are still wrong.  In nature, as in life, size is not always a determining factor; fierceness and determination are. Like I said, I've watched cougars chase off grizzlies more than once.

People should watch the Baby Bear vs. Cougar You Tube video where a little grizzly cub fights off and chases away an adult cougar which is much larger than the cub. On another video a black bear that is not all that big does the same. I heard that the mother cougar and bear video was staged for the Wild America tv show using a trainjed bear. Look at it closely, it actually may be totally fake. For instance you don't see the baby cougar with the other animals.

@josepablobolanos Female cougars range from 64 to 141 lbs and this is suppose to be a mother cougar (males from 115 to 220), overall average 135. Still brown bears are much larger and stronger and you will never see a cougar fight an adult brown bear because it is a ridiculaous mismatch...and that was my point. I suspect you are young and naive and unfortunately disrespectful to others. Read what you posted and you may realize how stupid it is what you said. Do some research and learn reality.

staged? 130 lbs? Jesus, you enjoy talking out of your ass, don't you? People like you are probably the ones that match their attack dogs against wild cougars only to watch their beloved house pet get ripped to pieces.

A large male cougar easily surpases 220 lbs and 130 lbs is only a very average specimen. I've watched cougars chase off grizzlies, oh, only about a thousand times in nature documentaries just like the one you just watched.

This video has some selected scene (a few of them staged like the one with the bear and the bird that was tied down so it could not get away). A large cougar is only around 130 lbs or so and is no match even for a small grizzly. So let's not get carried away.
