Sweety, there's a difference between genetic and hereditary. While your sexual orientation is encoded in your genes, it is not passed on this way. Gay parents can produce gay or straight offspring and straight parents can produce gay or straight offspring as well. It likely doesn't have anything to do with the parent's orientation. Don't worry, gay people won't go extinct. :)

Dude, are tou serious?? I mean come on... the so called "Gay Gene" is posed on the female chromosome (X), and not in the Y-chromosome. as a male, offspring, your dad gives u the Y and ur mom gives u the X. i.e.: homosexuality comes from your mother... This however, does not mean that your mom should be homosexual for you to be homosexual, because she has two X-chromosomes, and so her sexual orientation is defined in a more complicated way than yours. :)
