@Janitor8582 Not really, actually. Its his style. In my nutcracker, I adopt the soft prince style because I feel it fits more with the role and helps me truly act as well as dance. But for Don Quixote, I feel a strong form is neccesary, but with the softness of love added to the role. Its really all how you decide to do it. Male dancers are not feminine, but we are not hulking gorillas either lol.

I understand your point of view but Nutcracker is a fairytale and he dances a fairytale prince, viewed by children. Virility is not really among childrens dreams.
He is tall and strong for this character, anyway I have never seen it danced so wonderfully than by him. It was his first principal role, in 1993.

he is good at the tricks but when he dances he dances to feminine to look strong doing it. Its too airy fairy i think, a guy needs to be strong and look strong doing it.
