It sounds like King David.Leonid Kogan used to play with steel strings and his sound had greater edge.Kogan did not play the same cadenza with King David.So,I believe that this is David Oistrakh.Leonid Kogan and David Oistrakh are my favourite violinists!Great Upload!Thanks!

I was bribed into listening to the Beethoven when I was 10 by my big sister in return for her being the quarterback of our neighborhood football team. She gave up football, I plunged into classical music.

Would you be so kind to give some infomation from the liner notes of your LP -- is it live or studio recording? What year was it made? Surprisingly, official Oistrakh and Kondrashin discographies have no mention of this recording...

@Rodionovmy
Hi Rodionovmy, normally I like to give a few details in my videos about the recordings I post.... unfortunately, this recording does not say anything specific about the recording. All I know is that my reissue was released in 1973. However, I just found out in Paul Geffen's extensive discography of Oistrakh, it is possible that this is, in fact, Leonid Kogan playing. I'll need to do some more research on this, but thank you for bringing it to my attention.
