I've had shingles a good 25+ times since 1997 and they always break out on my nose. I'm sick of it. Why not get the vaccine???

If you come down with shingles, be sure to treat it with antiviral meds ASAP! I had it on my face and in my eye, and even with Famvir and steriods, I have scars on my cornea and skin. But, because I got treatment right away, I have no post herpetic neuralgia (horrible, life-long pain).

I am debating getting the vaccine, because it can come back, in the same place! I don't want it again; it was very painful and I was really sick with it.

hey guys on DEC 25 i got a shingles and i been having them for about 4 days now and tell u this the first stage of the POX is a walk in the park.....the seconed stage well lets say this it hurts,itches and burns not including the pain i am getting with it. so for ppl that had the POX plz go take this anti to pervent this happening it to u. btw shingles is rare( also u dont have to be old to get them i am 21 and i have them.

@twamking1 Hope youre shingles clear up.... I had them for about a month and a half and let me tell you. it was the most excruciating pain Ive ever felt in my life. Im only 20 years old but still, It prevented me from sleeping and the nerve pains were so unbearable I couldnt take it... I really hope youre shingles dont cause you as much pain as mine did me... On the bright side, some people only get a rash and have no pain symtoms.... I hope this is the case for you.... HOPE U GET BETTER

I'm 26 and I'm having my first flare up now :( it took them a week to diagnose it after three visits because it is at an unconventional place (my right side head/neck) so it's been dormant at my C2 nerve...it hurtsssss
