Chinese classical dance is an ancient art form that is as old as China's 5,000 year history. It has been carefully passed down from teacher to student throughout the ages. in every dynasty, it has been performed and taught in society, seen in palaces, and among all civilized company. It plays an integral role in Chinese theater and is a true performing art built upon traditional values and morals.

  • I reckon this competition is a magnificent idea. What a great way to conserve a part of Chinese culture and encourage the younger generations to uphold these traditions from ancient times. :)

  • @GaryPansey There are many religious in China. Communism doesn't necessary reflect atheism, nor does it as a political policy reflect its citizens.

  • Great video with great dancers! Given the atheistic environment of Communist China, I don't think the competition promotes "religion," just "piety..." Anyone can be in the competition, it's not limited to Falun Gong people.
