Using an Eberline MP-2 Mini Pulser to check the calibration of a Ludlum 177 geiger counter.

Between the lighting and shadows, camera angle, and the meter bezel, there is some parallax error in the video. The meter reading may appear to be high or low in the video, but when viewed straight-on the meter reading is dead-on.

I have also used this to calibrate my CDV-700 geiger counters. However, my CDV-700's only have one adjustment pot for all of the ranges, and it is a matter of trying to get a good average calibration.

Most newer geiger counters have adjustments for each range, as the Ludlum 177 used in this video does.
