@TheOrigonalKoil i have the origional model, not this "redone one" mine has white non-led fans. same baisc design. and that one does come with a metal backplate. but it was so crap to install i wish i had this new rev, spring screws are better and easier than the old design, which was terrible
the fans are variable, theres a connector coming off of each, at medium its pretty close to silent, at high really isnt too shabby either. not that my info is very specific or professional but just throwing it out there heh
honestly i was "mad" about how bad it was. i was throwing obscenities at the thing. also the heat paste it came with didnt spread at all. it just pushed around the heat spreader like silly putty. i didnt have any other paste so i had to make due, but it sucked.
functionality wise its performing pretty well. im running an i7-2600k @ 4.6 stable. it overheats at 4.8 though, and i think its the pastes fault. gonna get some arctic silver and go for higher
I would have liked to see a metal backplate for this. As hot as CPUs get these days it seems like a plastic one would deform over time causing a board failure.
I would love to see a showdown between Arctic Silver and Thermaltake's included solution. Also, is there a notable benefit to having Arctic Silver 7 over AS5?
@ugzz ok cool, thinking about switching my CoolerMaster V8 for one

installing it with the backplate was awful.
