i was sexually assaulted by my uncle when i was nine . it took me a year to tell my mom . when i finally told her , it seemed like my whole family fell apart . i thought it was my fault . now that im 14 i realized i did the right thing and its not my fault . it felt like a huge wieght was lifted off my shoulders when i heard the jury say he was guilty . i know what its like to feel betrayed , scared , alone and helpless , but things get better . im living proof of it .
