I tried to tell my VERY fanatic anime fangirl friend this...she simply said I was angry that she knew more than I did about anime. I've only watched five anime and I don't just watch anime for the sake of watching anime. I simply seek knowledge. I hate getting lumped into a group that clearly meets the requirements of this insult just because I have interest in anime. Your video is very informative :)

@6thisis . Its an extensive fan of something to the point where they have no social life.

@kanadajin3 You can say the same thing about geeks. Lately it become cool to be a geek, but that is not the original meaning. It used to be the same insult as otaku.
6thisis 3 weeks ago
@6thisis . Yes. But In Japan, its not cool to be an otaku period., the only people who think its cool, are westerners who mistranslated it sevirely.

The english name for みかん is satsuma...named after the Japanese region they were first exported from. Nashi really is Asian pear in English...also known as apple pear. True not the same as our normal pear but still. All the rest are correct.

@forgottenmemories21 . Not quite. Satsuma is a morph of mikan, but its not a mikan. I mentioned nashi because everything thinks it means pear (as in western style pears) but it refers to what people call Asian pear instead.
