@LillaVnilla I dont know if you learn it from the scratch, but a cousin of mine learn it in 3 months. She was monolingual in spanish, so speaking a latin language gives you a edge.

Good videos. Just an advice: In catalan we say only Bon dia/Bona nit (depending if there is sun or not). Of course, we've a word for afternoon, són we can say "Bona vesprada/vespre/tarda", but in our culture we don't say it, so we stick just to Bon dia, while we can see the sun, and Bona nit, at night.
And thanks for the videos!

Mostly similar to Portuguese!!!
does anyone know about time in barcelona? or just Catalunya. I'm just wanting to know how it relates to here in the US (central time) Like 3pm here is what time over there or like at what time people eat their breakfast compared to here. I hope i made this understandable! haha

@TheFrite92 It depends on the part of the US you live in. I just know it's 6 hours difference if you live in New York, and 9 hours difference if you live in the West coast, but nothing else, hehe, sorry.

I'm learning spanish at the moment and after that i will study catalan. When I finished my spanish, how long will it take to learn Catalan, do you think? 3 months? 6 months? 1 year? Please let me know, i would highly appreciate it :)

@GuidingSlasher Hmm, hard to say, cause I don't know of anyone who has studied Catalan not living in Catalonia. They say it's harder than Spanish, so maybe it takes longer. Or well, maybe if you already know Spanish, Catalan is easier cause they are similar...

@E7HeL What do you say of someone that speaks european portuguesese? I'm portuguese and very recently I've starting watching a catalan tv show. I've never had lessons before, but still I get the general meaning and sometimes I feel like i'm listening to portuguese, because some expressions are pronounced almost identically.

@AnaIsabell Yes, I don't speak Portuguese, but I know it's very similar to Catalan and Spanish, so I guess it might be easy to understand for you :)
