  • ok learn to sing without the american accent. It sounds shit. There is no tone that is required for this repertoire. the tone is much too light for a bass aria. pitching is off on occasions. The only thing i agree with about this performance is the expressive movement, singing required everything to be loose, apart from that just stop singing its not worth it, you're wasting your life.

  • check your pitches. potential nice voice

  • Take care of that voice!!!! Is Waaay too young for this kind of repertoire... Even though he has the low register is not possible to say if is a Baritone or a Tenor, by the way, the low B that this piece have is a little bit too low for this guy!!!!!! Use Italian songs, Folk songs, maybe some Lieder (the easy ones) but not Oratorio nor Opera

  • why are high school students singing this music?!?!?!! The state of public music education is atrocious today!!!! if I was a teacher I would never assign a 15 or 16 year a song from a serious oraorio or opera that even PROFESSIONALS have problems interpreting!!!!!

  • omg, are you kidding me? that was state S&E?! they have really lowered the bar.

  • I think you had the same problems that I'm having right now, preping for Districts. The glottal stop on some of the "Arm"s are too pronounced and the alision between "the" and "almighty" should be more like "thal" than making it two seperate articulations. Its a beast of a song- the big melisma should be more seperate, lifting after the dotted notes- its more stylistically correct. It also lets you conserve air. Nice job overall though!

  • I just think you should speed it up a bit, it will put its own umph in it. And Maybe round the sound it will make it sound a little darker

    BUT........ Very good job

  • A stirring tune, a decent voice, goodlooking guy, but too fidgity!

  • you are good, but you need much more practice. I don't know what you were doing with your hands at the begining, but you should only concentrate in singing. You need a better pianist. But keep up the good work.

  • You're too young for this song. You're lucky you still have a voice. Start with something from the 24 Italian Songs and work your way up like every other young singer. And quit conducting for your accompanist. It's not working, anyway.
