"The Road" Original song by Sue Jin (Demo)

Hey everyone!

It took me over 7 months to finish writing this song, only because I didn't know what would be at the end of that road. Well, I know now... and the view... is much nicer from here. :)

This song is dedicated to every victim / survivor of violence or trauma... It gets better...

Till I came upon a mound

The road it seemed to stop right there

My heart dropped at the sight
So there I stopped and cried
Calmed by the sounds of years
Flowing devoid of fear
The river crystal clear
My path it was so crystal clear

Just what I had to do

This road would lead me to truth




It all seemed but a dream
Awake in my sleep
Journeyed on all night
Till dusk turned bright
I saw the light


I walked around new grounds
Unsure of what I'd found
Turned back to look at years begin to disappear

I Tony T Nguyen love this song. When I wake in the mornings, this very melody sings out in my head. When I'm going through a hard time, I listen to this and it makes me feel better. I love it so much that I learned it on the piano.
