@thebackgroundartiste Award that year (an deservedly so) can be a little creepy. I don't think you will like the wolf man or bat man incarnations and there is a scene in his coffin when he is transforming from old to young that is kind of "EWW!" but if you just keep telling yourself (like I do) "It's just make-up and special effects . Wow they are really good !, it's just a movie, it's ok." You will be fine. And if you are watching it on DVD, you are in control .Let me know how you did, OK?

@foteinosokolataki You're welcome. Let's see, are you "disgusted" by exsanguination ,rats, a guy who eats spiders and flies (it's odd, when they show this on tv, even on some of the cable channels, the three things they always cut out are Renfield eating flies and spiders in the insane asylum, Mina and Lucy's kiss in the rain, and Lucy being seduced in the garden by Dracula when he looks like a wolfman. There is a lot of violence, a lot of exsanguination and the makeup (which won an Academy

@thebackgroundartiste So nice of you to write back! Well, i have seen some thrillers on tv, like final destination, this kind of things... I plan to see it on dvd, a friend couldn't believe i haven't seen it already! I'm more concerned about...it's not too disgusting, is it? I mean, this old guy with the weird head is a little spooky, but if that's the worst part I'll be ok.

@foteinosokolataki The trailer is edited for maximum effect, fright factor, etc. The film is very atmospheric, there are thrills and chills and a certain amount of violence, a lot of exsanguination but there is humour and sensuality . I would have to know what you are used to before I could say whether or not you should see it. I've probably seen it ten times and it's a guilty pleasure for me. The first time I saw it in the theatre they cut off the prologue. See it on DVD ( if you dare ! )
