The colormap shows the level set (LS) function phi not the density or a physical quantity. So the fluid is liquid where phi>0 and gas otherwise. See the full paper.

you used two fluids, there is error in your simulation..
try flow3d...they ignore the air.. mainly for numerical stability purpose

can you specify the parameters of the dambreak case like tank length, height and width of the water column.

DOI's are unique ID's for scientific papers. Look for DOI in Wikipedia
and you will find instructions to get the articles. Unfortunately the
system in YouTube prevents me to post links.
The main physical data (viscosity, density) is that corresponding for water/air. The water column is initially square, 0.23m in wide and height.
The time scale for the visualization is not correct, it is 1.5:1 slower than it should be.

It doesnt flow as it should, sometimes its more fluid than othertimes when its more thick.
