@2deebeez strum stick is the name that the company that makes it gave it. Like a Fender Strat. Its a "strat" but the actual instrument itself is a guitar. McNally makes strumstick, Olympia Dulcimer Company makes their version which they call the "walkabout dulcimer" some people call them Stick dulcimers. But the name of the instrument is a Dulcitar.
