I attempt tackle the great debate in this one. Most important thing to know is that person preference is the deciding factor in which of these two titans you decide to buy (that is if your crazy enough to spend $400+ on a pocket knife)
I ran over on this one and had to edit into two halves. Thanks for watching!

  • im looking into both of these as my first big ticket price knife and im askign for your opinion between the sng or the 21 also if the 21 large or small

  • @tahomazz It all boils down to personal preference, they are all great knives... if it were me right now, I would choose the SnG over the Sebby. Between the Sebs, I would go large over small.

  • i dont know if i should drop the cash on one of these bad boys, cuz i dont know how i would feel about carying a 400+ dollar knife, if i lost it, i'd have to kill myself. but they're so damn COOL!. great vid btw

  • @PhillieBRidin It does seem crazy to spend so much on a knife... It's hard to describe, but people spend ridiculous sums on watches, sunglasses, cigars, fine liquor, jewelry... ect, ect. There is something to be said of the finer things, and a knife can be a useful tool and companion. There is a definite pride in ownership carrying and using a high quality tool that will last a lifetime such as one of these two...

  • i like the sebenza better. even though i dont own one but a strider SnG. man i am so pissed ... just found rust on the blade and this thing is only 3 week old. how can s30v RUST in a dry environment in only 3 weeks?

i am SO buying a SEB. and please someone tell me how to get rid of the rust.

    MUCH APPRECIATED.

    NICE review BTW. 5*

  • @DonnieCallister S30V is a great steel, but even stainless steels can develop rust. I think it is due to the bead blasting on the blade.. I fell asleep with my Strider in hand and the heat/moisture from my grip caused a light surface rust.. get yourself some tuff glide cloths to take the rust out... I've also heard that a pencil eraser will work. After you get the rust off put some renaissance wax on to prevent rusting on the blasted surface.

  • great couple of vids here. i can't wait to try a Strider. thanks for sharing.

  • @macjmillsx Flitz or Simichrome work good for removing surface rust. I sometimes get a little around the opening holes of my SNG and SMF's. I love my Strider's, but the Sebbie is better for EDC IMHO.

  • Great comparisons. In the end like you said it comes down to preference. Its like comparing a lambo and a ferrari. They are both luxury but its a matter of choice. Personally the Sebenzas seem plain even though the materials used are really high quality. I love the look of the Striders and they just seem more for hard use. I would use the Strider more as a tool and the Sebenza as a showpiece.

  • @macjmillsx true, never thought of it that way, :)most i've ever spent on a knife was $137 bucks (spyderco military). i need me a strider or maybe a sebenza? which one did you get first?

  • If you baton your Sebenza, your warranty is void. Sebenza from what I am told, is very picky on what they consider abuse and may not honor your warranty . Strider has more of a no questions asked when it comes to warranty. So ultimate use and abuse, Strider backs their knives better. I think that is a very important factor in a knife you are going to use.

  • @macjmillsx wow wait ... you fell asleep with the strider in your hand? this means A) you REALLY love your knife or B) you live in louisiana and expect to be eaten by aligators while camping in the yard :-D

thanks for the advice man! thats some really nice stuff. will try it out right away.
