Well being a resident of Greensburg Ks. when the tornado stuck I really don't care about the first so called f5 I hope to never go through something like that ever again and hope there will be nomore of them but even recently for Joplin I feel for the victims there not just for the few lives it took but it also sent alot of us away and pretty much ruined the communty I loved living in
According to NOAA, Greensburg was the first (E)F-5 (Moore, OK was an F5 before the scale was upgraded), but there have been a few since. The next was about a year later in Parkersburg, IA on May 25 2008. The next (according to NOAA) weren't until 2011, and there have been six this year.

@topthrilldragster20 Not true, Oklahoma was the first to document an F5 in may 3rd 1999. Additionally there have been many F5 tornadoes since 2000.
