It won't happen because to many billionaires would lose and the oil companies would be very unhappy. Watch some problems come up concerning damage to the economy.
@ssstealth I don't think it will be any problem to switch hinge-side - after all, in most cars they move the whole steering column, pedals and reverse the dash.

I think it looks great BUT, for the US market and anywhere else they drive on the right side of the road, they really should have the door hinge on the other side of the vehicle so that when I park on the side of the road I don't have to step out into traffic. I guess that's a bit of a moot point since the car is so narrow you'd still be half a car width from traffic... but still.
