This is Afro Samurai, taking place in a retrofuturistic Neo-Feudal Japan where the world is a arena of endless violence and destruction as everybody kill each other for the Sacred Number 2 headband, so they could challenge the holder of the Number 1 headband and become a God (don't ask me what they gain from this). The previous Number 1, Afro's father, is killed by a man named Justice so now the grown up Afro himself is trying to get to him, by taking No. 2, then the No. 1
