This was my final project for an introductory animation class. The goal was to use After Effects to animate pre-drawn assets. I ended up making everything in After Effects though.
This is actually my first animated short film so it ain't Disney or Miyazaki but oh well.

  • hai steve.... i want to ask u how to make this 2d animation with after effect.. thanks

  • @longlahable I made the characters with layers of solids and used masks to create different body parts like heads, tails, etc. I used the brush stroke effect to give the shapes a dark line. In order to animate the character I took each body part that I made and parented them to each other in a way that would allow them to act like a body. So for example I parented the location of the fox's arm to the body so that when the body moves the arm would but I could still rotate the arm. Hope this helps

  • @stevenMlee hai ...thanks for your help... ^ ^ btw u use flashnto do the 2d animation?

  • @longlahable No problem. I don't know how to use flash so now I don't use it for animation.

  • @stevenMlee so what program u are using to make above video? ah...after effect?

  • @longlahable yes. Completely in after effects.
