Architect Frank Gehry Unveils Design of Eisenhower Memorial, Washington DC

The Dwight D. Eisenhower Memorial Commission holds a news conference to unveil the preferred design concept created by architect Frank O'Gehry for the National Eisenhower Memorial that will be built on a four-acre site between Fourth and Sixth Streets SW, south of Independence Avenue.
PARTICIPANTS: Rocco Siciliano, chairman of the Dwight D. Eisenhower Commission; and D. David Eisenhower, presidential appointee at the Dwight D. Eisenhower Memorial Commission.

This design is GIANT, or more specifically a monstrosity. Twice as big as the WW2 memorial, and could house two Lincoln plus two Washington, AND two Jefferson memorials all at once.

There was a curious closed process to this design process. This will be the Gehry Memorial, not Ike's.

Historians, architects, & Eisenhower family dislikes the design.

With giant steel "gates" and "smoke stacks", I'd like Mr Gehry to answer if he intended any connection to the concentration camps.

the barefoot boy concept is just the thing, because Mister Gehry needs to let people know that kansas people are just hicks from oz,,,
