There are a handful of protesters at the back shouting anti-Ahmadi Nejad slogans. Many allege that these protesters were just some regular trouble makers who always need some reason to cause trouble at the campus. Some had even been suspended from the campus for previous unrelated incidents.
Freedom of protest is alive and well in democratic Iran. Note how Dr. Ahmedi Nejad reminds students to stand upto dictatorship. Students were quite active in overthrowing the dictatorial regime of the tyrant and stooge of foreign powers, Reza shah Pahlavi.
Some others have alleged that a few of the sloganeers were known activists of the terrorist cult known as MEK. This is a cult based in American protected sanctuaries in Iraq. They were previosuly funded by Saddam Hussein, and now by the US Govt. This group is led by their cult leader Maryam Rajavi, who is revered as a religious figure by her approx 2000 to 5000 supporters worldwide. The cult members mostly consist of former regime members of the deposed tyrant of Iran, Shah Reza Pahlavi. These former regime members, who squandered the wealth of the nation, just need a reason to oppose the current democratically elected government of Iran. The irony is that originally this group was formed to fight the same Reza Shah Pahlavi regime.
The notorious cult led by Ms. Maryam Rajavi is known to be involved in drug trafficking inside Iran and that is one of their primary sources of revenue to pay their cult members. Many of their members have been arrested and convicted on drug trafficking and consequently more serious offenders have been sentenced to death; this has been used by the MEK to claim that these drug peddlers were sentenced for their political beliefs.
MEK has also been accused by many parents of enticing young gullible university students into a life of drugs and immorality. The local police have claimed that MEK activists lure young students and make them dependent on drugs which makes them commit horrendous acts of terrorism against their fellow citizens. MEK led by Ms. Maryam Rajavi has been implicated in the assasination of President Mohammad-Ali Rajaei who died along with 70 other innocent people in the MEK terrorist bombing of 1981. Since then close to a dozen terrorist acts have been directly linked to Ms. Maryam Rajavi's cult.
