BEAN Volunteering @ ROOTS Young Adult Shelter

ROOTS is a nonprofit organization that relies primarily on volunteers to help run the shelter each night. There is limited time to clean the shelter space during the evening and morning hours, and routine cleaning and maintenance tasks often go undone. ROOTS relies on periodically scheduling volunteer groups to help with tasks like sanitizing the mats that our guests and overnight volunteers/staff sleep on, organizing the clothing hall and supply storage areas, and deep-cleaning the kitchen and bathrooms. Volunteer groups help ROOTS to provide a safe, sanitary space for shelter guests to sleep every night.
