Finally, a G20 Protester talking sense

Old Holborn at the G20 protests.

OH: I'm here to protest against the state interfering in the banking system. I believe that the banking system should be left to fail, and not effectively held up with my money.

Interviewer: So what do you make of all the anger present today directed at capitalism, and the protests that we've seen about that?

OH: Totally misguided! These people are effectively asking for the state to intervene even more - that is the road to fascism. When the state controls all of the money supply - we're doomed.

The protester in question is completely right of course. Capitalisms fundamental values (the reasons why it is supposed to be a good idea) dictate that the system is self-regulating, but only when bad decisions are left to fail and die out. We'd only have a problem if those fundamentals were proven not to work, but we'll never know for sure if we keep throwing money at the problem rather than actually properly implementing capitalism.

@legendiam870310 a solution? how about no government, in the history of man no government has been able to produce better circumstances than non-violent interaction between men... if we can get peaceful & voluntary interactions between people without middlemen, violence or coercion... we shouldnt ever suffer this problem again.

well said, government stole tax money to bail out failed banks, now were being asked to fork out more money instead of bankers losing their billion £ bonuses... what we have in EU/USA is corporatism (fascism) not capitalism.
