I'm so torn on which Gears I like the best. I think it's really a mix of the three. Some things I like better in Gears 1 and 2, such as the environments and building architecture. They seem to fit the Gears universe a lot better (especially Act 2, that desert like environment just doesn't do it for me). But there are some areas in Gears 3 that are impressive.
I think it's that Gears 1 and 2 had more corridor areas and I really loved the in door areas.
