  • they didn't make the roles their own...they just mirrored the film.

    talk about representational acting

  • Can you say "over-acting"? Their grasp of the characters isn't strong enough so they have to rely on gimmicks like her trying to choke him on the couch and throwing her drink in his face and random moments during their lines where they just grab each other...it's cringe-worthy, it really is. And what the hell was that bit at the very end? It looked like he was seizuring on top of her.

  • She is HHHHHOOOOOOOOOOTTTTTTTTTT!!!?!!!!!!!

  • Yea ok the way they did it was awsome. But i kno i cldnt do it with her shes too hot i might get naughty thoughts.

  • @mat3o2 It doesn't hurt to use some inspiration from the film but I agree to making it their own. But if they took it in a completely different direction, it may disappoint people if not done successfully. It's a very tricky thing to do. Let's face it, no one can top the film's performances by the cast. :)

  • the sound is bad, but it looks good overall.

  • @SwaggasaurusRex44 Acting for the camera is different from the stage. In person, this would not have come across as over acting.

  • They aren't even listening to each other. They aren't connecting to the words at all, even if they are young, it's a matter of working the material to where you do feel connected. As a young actor, I'd kill for the opportunity to play George, watching this only makes me want to play it even more so I don't make the same mistakes.

  • Too shouty

  • I agree that it is really difficult to not compare to Taylor and Burton who tore through their roles with a ferocity you seldom see. And i agree that stage actors should not rely on the filmed version for help, but rather find themselves in their roles - but the George and Martha characters are way beyond the talent of these two actors. I don't feel thing. No angst. No furor. No passion. They are loudly sleepwalking through these parts.

  • Richard Burton and Elizabeth Taylor set the bar so high... So there not all that bad really-were comparing - but we shouldnt really.

  • @btgreenwaldo I think I did. It started at 00:00
