  • Lmao...140...Cute!!

  • yeah that 954 wasnt even gettin wound out. he still had a lot of rpm to go lol woulda been better off hittin the limiter in between shifts than riding like that

  • i hate cars and am soley a bike guy. and this was definantly a good race. the guy on this 954 was a little slow as far as shifting goes, but still, the car was right there. great job on your car!

  • The 954 would smoke that stang over 1/4 mile standing start on bk wheel I no used to have1

  • Of course a fast bike is cheaper than an equally fast car..... until an accident happens. There's 2 kinds of motorcycle rides; people who have crashed and the people who will. Medical bills are not cheap.

If you're running with 900+cc crotchrockets in you're car, the car's fast. Even 600s can dip down into the 10s with the right rider. Bikes are harder to launch and Foxbodies have a huge aftermarket to make them hook. With sticky tires, it could be a cose race between these 2

  • Oh except for the bends part, a bike will take a turn much faster than any car, except for sharp 90 turns then a car would take that turn.

  • Aranthei you are absolutely right about that, mainly because no matter how much power a bike has it can only accelerate so fast before the front wheel comes up, now if you throw on straps to prevent the forks from extending, then you can hammer it harder without wheelying, and if you add an extended swingarm to the mix, shit you're talking 6-7 second quarter mile times

  • agree with starshooter10 of course...

  • After seeing many, many bike vs sports car races, during this 6 months, I'd have to say you're dead on right.

  • As far as I know, the general rule of thumb is that even cheap bikes pwn all but the fastest cars, but the very very fastest cars are faster than tha fastest bikes.

Please, correct me if I'm wrong, but I at least don't know of any bikes that can hit 60 from a standstill in under 2 seconds (If I recall correctly, that's the time for a 500hp V8 Ariel Atom).

Fast card win on braking, bends and top end, but bikes definitely own in mid range acceleration, and low-end against non-super cars.
