World of Wifi - MKW Online (Rich Petty, Jetsetter) 4/1/11

Here is my Mario Kart Wii series! I will be recording and uploading various Mario Kart Wii online experiences, from friend races to battles to tournaments and much more. Mario Kart Wii brings about the many emotions of human nature, from sheer excitement and a sense of accomplishment to the depths of failure due to a third lap blue shell. Hopefully, my videos will be able to capture all of this. In addition, I want to be able to share my experiences as I try to race with famous Mario Karters in the Youtube community. So enjoy!

This friend room hosted by Rich Petty (Jughead870) had a special theme: New Groove. In this theme we pick our worst and or least used character-weight-vehicle combination. For example If you usually race heavy, then pick light. If you usually race light, then pick heavy. For me I picked Waluigi on the terrible, terrible Jetsetter.

This race at N64 Mario Raceway includes: LinkSam (linksam95), Richelle (his guest), Ernie (enieves30), Brendan (smashbro47), Yoshiller (Yoshiller2), Sethiroph (MaskOfSethiroph), and Spy Kid (Buschkling)

My first thought was, "hey, doesn't look like that's too bad..." then you started going off road. And you did manual to boot! Oh this looked like ya'll had a WONDERFUL time, what a cool idea and I bet it was a lot of fun. You're the calmest player I know.... did you remain calm while using that horrendous combo? Fifth? Not bad at all, good job! You looked like you knew what you were doing but I saw from the rankings that you might not have started out that way! Lastly, GREAT winner music.

For some reason I didn't get a notice that you commented... weird. Anyways, this theme was definitely a lot of fun. For easy tracks, the Jetsetter is good because of its amazing speed. However, everything else about it is terrible. For later races, I actually got pissed off because this piece of junk can't turn (you can imagine how "fun" Rainbow Road was). Anyways thanks for liking my winner music, I think it's a great song.

Oh you took this theme to the fullest! Both you and Yoshiller presented the best two combinations in my opinion, as in, something new and wacky. I've gotten used to the Jetsetter. It's very fast going straight. That's it! Haha.

props for use of jetsetter, but you could have followed a much better "line" for that combo, could be a 9000+

Waluigi gets a +2 boost in both Acceleration and Drift, which really contributes to the Jetsetter.

@Jughead870 That explains it. I'm a bit TOO used to the Wild Wing's drifts and turns,and I don't think I went straight with the Jetsetter to often.
