I Shall Be Released

They say everithing can be replaced
They say every distance is not near
So I remember every face
Of every man who put me here

I see my light come shinin'
From the west down to the east
Any day now, any day now
I shall be released

They say every man needs protection
They say every man must fall
Yet say that see my reflection
Somewhere so high above this wall

I see my light come shinin'
From the west down to the east
Any day now, any day now
I shall be released

Now yonder stands a man in this lonely crwod
A man who swears he's not to blame
And all day long O hear him shouting so loud
Just crying out that he was framed

I see my light come shinin'
From the west down to the east
Any day now, any day now
I shall be released

  • It seemed like every band up until the mid/late 80's sounded amazing live. there are still bands that do but just not as much.

  • Thankyou. I was 14yo and lived in Utica NY at the time. Ran away from home to be there and have never had one regret over it. Peace
