Not necessarily.

The EVO just has a bigger turbo with MUCH higher boost, 19.1 PSI.

.This high boost causes a TON of turbo lag. My friend owns a 2009 EVO X, and if he's in the wrong gear, it barely moves at all.

The BMW only has 8 PSI of boost; when increased to 13 PSI it makes 390 HP!

The 135i engine is a GEM. I actually just test drove one two weeks ago.

YOU CAN'T TELL IT HAS TURBOS!

It's so smooth and really, really quick.

Mistubishi and BMW just have different approaches to engines.

@DHmat Furthermore.... "Rally Edition" Evos are made for Rally, not the street production vehicle, the MR comes with leather, what Rally car do you know that has leather?

All your points are invalid, and don't even come into affect here. Manufacturer's price has nothing to do with a car's performance ratings.

BTW, let me know where you're getting raped paying 70k for a 335i, when 70k is what will get you the E90/E92 BMW M3.

@DHmat Why do people (including you) bring price into it? That has nothing to do when comparing a car's PERFORMANCE. ERGO, the better comparison would the 335i, I wouldn't even bother comparing the 335ix because BMW's AWD systems have always been crap in my opinion. I guess no one remembers the AWD E30s.

You must also not be very familiar with cars to not know BMW has been involved in Rally for quite some time.

more or less 25000$ more for a 335ix (evo is awd so you'd have to get the ix for a ''fair'' comparison)

a 70k bmw vs a 45k mitsu isn't a good comparison eighter then

mitsu is made for rally, bmw not really, therefor no comparison again...

well i guess you just can't compare the 3 series to the evo meaning that the only thing low enough from bmw to be compared with the most expansive mitsubishi is the 1 series.

Actually the 135 automatic (2008-2010) does 0-60 in 5.3 sec... The manual with a professional drive does it in 4.7sec... this video is bull... or this automatic has a stg 1 JB3 or Vishnu tune... good for 40-50 crank hp which would make the automatic do 0-60 in about 4.7 sec.. Motortrend and car and driver have been cought5 testing cars with tunes on them when posting performance figures, JUST a WARNING!!!!

@nmarkus666 well it depends where u livee.. ii live in fountain valley.. so CaL and not even that i see beemers all over so cal.. all of so cal is flooded with mercedez bmws and lexus..  theyre so common its not even eye catching anymore..

u probably live in the guetto that u dont even see any bmws lol
