Saturday morning at about 8:00 driving Revere Beach my girlfried yelled, "look at the Falcon on the fence!" I stopped, and got this video and a few still shots.

For the record, either this was a huge falcon, or my idea of a Falcon being the size of a Raven was skewed because this was a big bird.

  • I swear I saw this bird next to mtn. ave overpass, rt. 1 revere.

    Hes quite good lookin', and not easily spooked. the plumage pattern is what i was lookin' for on the 'net. That white mottled stuff, on brown, looked kinda "owl like" by head movements. I had no camera (doh). If it wasn't him, it was that species 4 sure.

  • It looks like a Cooper Hawk? A very young one. We see a lot of these Hawks at Bell Isle Reservation praying on the wildlife.

  • He must have heard there were lots of rats in Revere...
