This was filmed at the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay in September 2007. It was part of a project in an Ancient Greek history course. The students had to design and build a hoplon (shield) and marched in phalanx formation as part of the activities. (Part 1 of 3)

  • @Hoplitikon EXACTLY!!!! im one of those teens that love ancient history. :p started reading books about Ancient greece and persia at age 6 :p. I still read some of those books

  • AND WE 300 CHILDREN.......... Nah just kidding, kinda getting old really.

  • @crispian83 um yes and do you have a problem with that? It teaches them ancient forms of fighting.

  • that's a sarissa phalanx not a hoplite phalanx.... but oh well..... it's really cool either way.
