You all just don't know but this lady has been entertaining since the 60's. She no doubt gets much of that authentic passion from the streets of Detroit.Ms Lavette...if you read these post just wanted to thank you for making my late auntie happy back in the day whenever she heard your song " Almost" she used to sing" not quite but Almost" lol!

Pure brilliance

This is the only version I've heard that really captures the soul of this most beautiful song. The Clapton version is also so beautiful but it sounds more like a tribute to a frend. This was amazing, thank you for posting!

George Harrison would have been honored to have heard his song redone by Bettye. The original in on Harrison's Epic 'All Things Must Pass' album.

I still can't watch this entire thing without getting tears in my eyes.
Fantastic performance. This is one of those moments that a vocalist dreams of. I bet she wishes she could bottle this up and keep it as it was forever. I guess she managed to do that in a way. This video really translates incredibly.
Bettye, if you read this - good on you. Great job.

I was watching Craig last night, and must of drifted off- but the piano, and her first notes pulled me right awake.
