Dormeshia Sumbry-Edwards is the second solo artist to perform for the United States. She's a great tap dancer whom the judges didn't seem to care for. I thought she should have been given much higher scores.

Dormeshia is the Quintessential example of American Tap. So many of the judgess had no clue what they were looking at. They gave the boy from Australia a higher score and his musicallity was all wrong. Dormeshia is one of the best!!!!! tappers in the world, and those judges insulted her because her performance was flawless. Support Tap, because in the World, and Tap is not considered true dance and that is just wrong! Go Dormeshia! Your Awsome!!!

GODDES. THEY ARE HONESTLY THE DUMBEST PEOPLE AND SHOULDN'T BE JUDGING IF THEY DIDN'T ALL GIVE HER A 10. THEY KNOW NOTHING ABOUT TAP "YOU NEED TO GROW"????? IF SHE NEEDS TO GROW THEN THE REST OF US ARE FUCKED. like uhm she should be sued...

I was pretty upset by this... half the judges obviously had little to no education in tap at all... I agree with Ireland.

i so agree with you guys on this even though i have danced with sean robinson he dosent have the awsomeness that dormeshia has i would kill to tap that good who gives a shi.t about looking flashy like the australian guy and i am australian and im saying this she is a legend both her and omar her husband if only one day i could be tought by such awsomeness lol

I am a Tap Teacher. She is QUITE talented and is a staple in the Tap community, but she simply has a bad attitute. Watching her reaction to the scores and listening to her comments left a bad taste in my mouth. I hope that my students never get their hands on this clip and think it is ok to question a judge's decision. I think improper flooring may have played a part in the low scores. Her taps did not sound clear and crisp. Instead they sounded muffled and dense w/o much variation.
