  • It was a BAD CHOICE to take this music and change it. This is the music of Yagudin in 2002. Even the moves are similar!! But he can't reach The Greatest Skater!! Try to be yourself, Brian Joubert!!

  • the last time the olympics were in canada a man named BRIAN won

  • Ridiculous. You can't listen to this music without remembering Yagudin's ingenious exibition program, epecially if he does similar moves (not as well thought and well done as Alexei's) wich makes it worse. Never mind mixing it in a different way and the music being called Ancient Lands if he can't abstract Yagudin's Overcome.

Thank you for your comment, but I can't agree with you. If you look with attention to Yagudin's programm you will see the simmilar moves. What about the music: Yagudin has taken the origanal one but Joubert has changed it. I like very much Joubert's sportive style and also his steps but I don't like this programm.

  • @loshafan54 This program is far different than Yagudin's and I think it is an excellent match for Joubert's aura and the way he skates. There is a sensitivity here that is lacking in most of his other programs but it's not like Joubert is trying to be completely lyrical either (which would be a misstep for him). The program still has a hard driving beat and a forceful excitement. His "resting section" in this program works much better with the music than in most of his other LP's.

  • His jumps are just amazing but what I find great about him is his style its very different to the other competitors. Also , so what If the music is a bad choice ? its such a passionate performance and he made such a good comeback from the olympics. I think without the errors he's probably the best skater in the world at the moment, when he's on top form he has the whole package. :)

  • mmmmm I saw it and thought, hey the french imateted russian style!!!Plushenko is the one using that style, not france, mmmm and as other one said, it saw like Yagudin from salt lake, not for the gold!!!Plushenko will win, in any case I would like better the swiss skater,he is not imitating someones style.

  • These programs are constructed so similarly now - a series of big jumps, then steps and spins, then another rounds of jumps to take advantage of the bonus 10%, then more steps and spins. Maybe they can offer a 20% bonus for jumps in the last 10 seconds. :)

  • I like his perfomance. If he succeeded all his jumps, he had a chance of gold medal.

  • I could see glimpses of Yagudin's 2002 Olympic performance too, but I think that it's inevitable since Joubert has had Yagudin as his mentor.

I know Brian has some tough competition for the upcoming Olympics, but I'm rooting for him all the way! Go Brian!
